Learn about Citizen Science projects, fun and easy ways for your family to help scientists monitor the environment. After you leave the zoo, you’ll be ready to get to work in your own backyard, local park, or community garden.

Make a butterfly keepsake to take home.

Citizen Science
Take self-guided pigeon and squirrel-watch tours and turn in the data you collect!
Time: Noon–5:00 p.m.
Location: Sea Lion Court    

Games
Play Aquatic Invaders!
Time: 1:00–4:00 p.m.
Location: Baboon Rotunda

Foodie Talk
Learn about Food Co-ops and where our food comes. A special presentation will take place at noon.
Time: Noon–4:00 p.m.
Location: Barn

Bird Walks
Go bird-watching with our guides around the zoo.
Times: Noon, 1:00 & 2:00 p.m.
Location: Meet at the Lioness Statue in Sea Lion Court

Teens for Planet Earth Talk
Learn about this innovative environmental program for young adults.
Time: 1:30 p.m.
Location: Discovery Trail Classroom
