Julie Larsen Maher © WCS During our annual Halloween celebration, watch the baboons dig into pumpkins, tour the spooky barn and spook-tacular Discovery Center, and make some festive crafts as you experience the thrills and chills of the Zoo.
You can also celebrate Halloween all month long at the Bronx Zoo. Enjoy wildlife magic shows, pumpkin carving demonstrations, hayrides and a hay maze, and the Haunted Safari.

Bat ChatsMeet a zookeeper at the Rodriguez fruit bat exhibit, where you'll learn more about these nocturnal hunters.
Time: 11:00 a.m. & 3:30 p.m. in Nocturnal exhibit, Animals in our Lives
Pumpkins for the BaboonsWatch our baboons have a smashing good time when they receive their Halloween pumpkins!
Time: 2:30 p.m.
Wildlife Witch ShowsEnjoy a magical play about creepy crawlers and witch potions from Wildlife Witches, whose shows feature special animal guests.
Time: 12:30, 1:30, 2:00, 3:15, 3:45 & 4:30 p.m.
Location: Animals in our Lives Theater
Discovery Center ActivitiesTake a break and enjoy wildlife-themed books, crafts, and other activities in the Discovery Center, decked out with ghoulish designs.
Time: 11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Spooky Barn Older children will go wild for our frighteningly fun barn, where spooky creatures and characters lurk!
Time: Noon–3:30 p.m.
CraftsMake a special Halloween craft to take home.
Time: 11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Location: Animals in Art
Face PaintingTransform yourself into a tamarin monkey or pallas cat!
Time: Noon–3:00 p.m.
Costume & Dancing
Join us for a costume parade and dance extravaganza following the 4:00 p.m. sea lion feeding in Sea Lion Court.
